Today morning, Iran and China inked a new electric contract in order to carry out join projects in electricity and energy industries with the goal of developing bilateral cooperation during the post-sanction era.
This new agreement was signed by Managing Director of Iran Power and Water Equipment and Services Export Company (SUNIR) Bahman Salehi and Executive Director of Shandong Electric Power Corporation Zhou Gang and by holding joint meetings, the two sides will discuss details of performing electric projects on the territory of the two countries or in third party countries.
According to the contract, the Chinese company will provide the finance for Iran’s new projects, while the supply of goods and equipment of electrical industry in 15 Asian and African countries was exclusively assigned to Iran by the Chinese side.
By implementation of the contract, the Chinese company is committed to hand in to Iran’s SUNIR company the production of required equipment for electricity and energy projects in 15 countries including Senegal, Ethiopia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, Iraqi Kurdistan, Syria, Yemen, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
Shandong Electric Power Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of electric equipment and good in China and in the world which exports its products to North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa.
SUNIR Company and Shandong Electric Power Corporation also reached final agreement on the implementation of electric projects through EPC in Iran and other countries during the post-sanction era.
